AG CONNECT Expo 2011 exhibit space sales strong

Show organizer AEM announces new "industry rates" for non-members

At six months prior to the opening of AG CONNECT Expo 2011, 81 percent of the exhibit space used for the 2010 trade show is already booked, and there are 23 percent more exhibiting companies than at the same point last year. This success has led show organizers to announce new opportunities for non-member companies to participate in what has been called the “next generation” agriculture show.

AG CONNECT Expo will be held January 8-10, 2011 (Preview Day, January 7) at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

The foundation of the first AG CONNECT Expo, owned and managed by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), was new equipment and technologies. To expand the scope of exhibits and provide even greater value to attendees, AG CONNECT 2011 is now offering special industry space rates to companies not eligible for AEM membership. For exhibit spaces of 500 square feet of space or more, the new Industry Rates offer volume discounts equal to, or slightly more than, the AEM member rates.

“AG CONNECT is committed to showcasing innovations for all aspects of production agriculture, globally and in the U.S.,” stated Show Director Sara Truesdale Mooney.

AG CONNECT Expo exhibit space rates include a “package plan” of services that many organizers charge extra for. These include drayage (material handling), which is often a large and unpredictable expense, and daily stand cleaning. Exhibitors also receive other free value-added services such as a pre-show attendee mailing list with comprehensive demographics, marketing materials, and meeting planning assistance.  Exhibitors can also take advantage of AG CONNECT Expo’s advanced registration system to gain access to an exclusive service that provides them with attendees’ equipment purchasing history.

“The focus of AG CONNECT Expo is connecting quality buyers to new products and technologies that increase yields and efficiencies,” Mooney emphasized. “Exhibitors get the tools they need for real metrics that will drive qualified sales leads.”

Registration data for the 2010 show confirmed the quality of attendees. Producer-attendees averaged nearly 2,900 total acres, and 25 percent of producers with livestock owned more than 500 head.  More than 70 percent of AG CONNECT 2010 attendees had a net farm income between $500,000 and $2,500,000.

Producer-attendees give AG CONNECT Expo high marks for its professional environment conducive to one-on-one discussions with senior company management and technical experts.  In fact, overall, 83 percent of attendees said they were satisfied to very satisfied with their experience at AG CONNECT 2010.  The same percentage of producer-attendees also found great value for their businesses in AG CONNECT participation.

According to Kip Tom, Managing Director of Tom Farms LLC, “Today we have many choices of how to spend our time learning and connecting with the goal of bringing value back home to our business.  My choice is to attend AG CONNECT Expo, allowing us direct access to key ag executives and our peers that are driving change through the ag industry.”
